I travel a lot, actually. Mostly it's a quick getaway (two or three days) so I like to bring compact and travel-sized makeup items, such as a versatile makeup palette. One of my go-to palette is this palette from NYX, Wanderlust Eye & Lip Palette in Shade Madrid.

SECRET KEY 24K Gold Premium First Essence

Jenis kulitku memang bukan jenis kulit sensitif, jadi nggak terlalu rewel kalau dikasih produk baru. Waktu masih sekolah dulu jenis kulitku normal kombinasi, sedikit berminyak di area T. Tapi semakin tua berumur dewasa sepertinya kulitku ini makin kering.

Sekitar 3 tahun yang lalu aku mulai memakai Hada Labo Shirojyun series. Hasilnya lumayan oke tapi kulitku tetap terasa kering di bagian tertentu. Kemudian aku beralih ke varian lain yaitu Gokujyun series yang lebih melembabkan. Saat sudah masuk usia 24, aku mulai mencari produk skincare yang mengandung anti aging. Tapi saat aku mencoba Hada Labo Gokujyun Alpha, mulai muncul jerawat di dahiku, bergantian dan nggak berhenti sampai lebih dari 3 bulan. Saat aku menghentikan pemakaian, jerawat pun berangsur hilang tapi meninggalkan bekas yang menghitam.

Nah, setelah berpetualang mencari produk yang cocok, akhirnya aku menemukan produk ini: SECRET KEY 24K Gold Premium Series.

Sebenarnya brand Secret Key sudah lebih dulu dikenal dengan produknya yang juga dupe dari SKII FTE, yaitu Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence (STE). STE ini terdiri dari 2 seri, Original dan Rose Edition. Keduanya sama-sama mengandung Galactomyces Essence yaitu ekstrak fermentasi dari ragi / yeast (atau dipatenkan dengan nama Pitera oleh SKII). Karena aku menghindari skincare / kosmetik yang mengandung bahan hasil fermentasi, aku memilih seri 24K Gold Premium yang tidak mengandung Galactomyces.

Today's review will be about MISSHA The Style White Tea Lip&Eye Makeup Remover I bought several months ago.

First thing first... What is makeup remover?

Makeup remover is a product used to remove the makeup products applied on the skin. It cleans the skin before other procedures, like applying bedtime lotion.

It is important to use makeup remover every day to completely remove foundation, eye makeup, and lipstick to allow the skin to "breathe" and prevent clogged pores, pimples, breakouts and dull skin.

Be sure to choose an eye makeup remover designed for the eyes, and a different regular makeup remover for the face. Eye makeup removers are designed to be gentler, as it is easy to irritate eyes. Our eye area is so delicate so we must handle it with much more effort. Be sure not to pull at the skin when removing makeup, particularly the delicate skin around the eyes.

When choosing a new makeup remover, it might be a good idea to test it in a small area to be sure an allergic reaction does not occur. If you are allergic, or if the product seems to cause irritation, switching to a different one is generally necessary.

I have small eyes and to make them popped out, wearing eyeliner will always be a part of my makeup routine. First eyeliners I have are pencils, and despite the fact that they are really easy to use, sometimes I just need more drama for my eyes....and it means that I need some liquid eyeliners. Afraid of getting difficulties using them, I decided to try cheaper liquid eyeliners. After doing some research, I bought one of Etude House's cheapest eyeliners: Oh m'Eye Line in Black.

Blogger dan Smartphone

Hi everyone! Long time no see!

Actually it feels really nice to be back  J

Well, setelah aku lihat tanggal blogpost terakhirku, ternyata lama banget ya blog ini nggak ter-update. Padahal banyak banget post yang masih duduk manis di draft. Kesibukan dan kurangnya keahlianku mengatur waktu jadi penyebab utama yang bikin aku jarang update blog. Laptop yang biasanya aku pakai buat nulis blogpost pun sudah ngadat dan budget untuk membeli yang baru juga belum ada. Dan karena aku tinggal jauh dari keluarga dan harus nge-kost, aku pun nggak bisa leluasa pakai internet seperti saat masih tinggal di rumah.

Setelah searching, ternyata memang ada beberapa blogger (terutama blogger pemula seperti aku ini) yang susah untuk berkomitmen dengan rajin update blog setidaknya seminggu sekali. 

Padahal menurut beberapa artikel, salah satu tips untuk sukses blogging adalah dengan selalu konsisten dalam menulis konten di blog. Kemudian, selain dengan rajin posting tulisan dan foto yang bagus, blogger juga harus aktif berpromosi di jejaring sosial seperti Twitter, Instagram atau Facebook. Apalagi jumlah blogger yang terus bertambah juga menuntut para blogger untuk terus berinovasi supaya nggak kalah 'saing'.

Tapi, kadang kesibukan sehari-hari membuat kita sulit untuk merealisasikannya.

But! Karena jaman sudah semakin mobile, ternyata kita tetap bisa kok aktif blogging dengan memanfaatkan benda yang sehari-hari kita gunakan bahkan dari pagi sampai malam, yaitu smartphone.

Betul! Kita bisa memanfaatkan fitur aplikasi mobile blogging di smartphone atau tablet yang lebih mudah dibawa kemana-mana dibandingkan laptop atau PC. Bahkan sekarang ini banyak smartphone yang resolusi kameranya sudah hampir menyaingi kamera konvensional. 

So, nggak perlu repot-repot bawa kamera DSLR yang berat. Cukup dengan kamera smartphone, para blogger sudah bisa mengabadikan momen OOTD atau makanan yang lagi hits buat bahan posting. 

“Biasanya smartphone dengan spesifikasi yang sebagus itu harganya pasti mahal.”

Tenang… Sekarang ada Samsung Galaxy J series J5 dan J7, nggak perlu khawatir lagi deh. Dengan spec yang sangat mumpuni di kelasnya, harga kedua smartphone ini sangat terjangkau!

Apalagi brand Samsung sudah terkenal banget kualitasnya.

Nah, apa aja sih spec si Samsung Galaxy J series ini? Yuk kita lihat sama-sama.

1. PROSESOR: 1.2 GHz Quad Qore (J5) / 1.6 GHz Octa Core (J7)

Bete banget kan kalau lagi asyik-asyiknya browsing atau main game tiba-tiba nge-lag. Nah, karena itu kalau membeli smartphone, biasanya yang dilihat pertama kali adalah prosesornya. Karena makin mumpuni prosesornya, makin nyaman juga untuk digunakan. Nge-blog, bermain social media, mengedit foto, semuanya jadi bisa dilakukan bersamaan dengan cepat.

2. LAYAR: 5.2” (J5) / 5.5" (J7) Super AMOLED, 16M Colors

Samsung smartphones terkenal dengan layarnya yang sudah berteknologi Super AMOLED. Jenis layar ini dikenal dengan kedalaman warnanya yang kaya dan nyaman di mata. Apalagi dengan ukuran layar yang cukup besar yaitu 5 dan 5.5 inch, kalau bikin blogpost langsung di aplikasi mobile, mengetik pun jadi lebih nyaman.

3. KAMERA: Depan 5 MP / Belakang 13 MP

Buat yang demen selfie dan OOTD, pasti deh urusan kamera itu penting banget. Nah, Samsung Galaxy J sudah memiliki resolusi kamera yang tinggi lho. Bakal puas deh foto-fotonya. Apalagi didukung dengan built-in flash, hasil foto tetap terang saat kondisi cahaya sedang minim sekalipun. Mengambil foto untuk blog jadi lebih mudah dan menyenangkan.

4. JARINGAN: 2G/3G/4G LTE

Samsung Galaxy J series sudah mendukung jaringan 4G LTE. Jadi, browsing dan uploading konten ke blog/social media jadi lebih cepat dan mudah.

5. KAPASITAS BATERAI: 3100 mAH (J5) / 3300 mAH (J7) dengan Ultra Power Saving Mode

Dengan baterai yang tahan lama dan Ultra Power Saving Mode, konsumsi baterai bisa diminimalisir dengan menutup fungsi yang sedang tidak digunakan. Jadi smartphone tetap aktif saat benar-benar dibutuhkan. Nggak perlu khawatir lagi kena serangan low-batt pas lagi asyik nulis atau foto-foto buat bahan blog.

Selain fitur utama diatas, Samsung Galaxy J series juga dilengkapi fitur yang berguna untuk sehari-hari. Seperti fitur Smart Manager dan Quick Launch (sebagai shortcut ke fitur favorit kita), pemutar musik dan video, GPS, WiFi serta memori internal dan eksternal yang expandable hingga 128 GB (bisa save file foto sepuasnya deh, hihi). Smartphone ini dibandrol dengan harga yang terjangkau, sekitar Rp 2.290.000 untuk Galaxy J5 dan Rp 3.500.000 untuk Galaxy J7.

Nah, Samsung Galaxy J5 dan J7 memang cocok banget buat para blogger yang perlu koneksi cepat, resolusi kamera yang tinggi dan prosesor yang mumpuni. Jadi nggak perlu bingung dan repot lagi kalau mau update blog. Cukup pakai smartphone ini. Aktivitas mobile blogging, mengambil dan mengedit foto jadi lebih mudah, praktis dan menyenangkan deh. Nggak ada lagi cerita kalo blogging itu ribet dan perlu banyak waktu. Blog-pun jadi selalu upto date! :)

Tapi.... jadi nyesel deh kalau tiba-tiba pas bangun besok paginya langsung muncul jerawat di wajah kita. Membersihkan wajah dari segala makeup dan kotoran yang sudah menempel seharian memang mau nggak mau harus kita lakukan. Tapi, kadang males banget harus pergi ke wastafel buat cuci muka, belum juga kalau harus pake makeup remover yang macem-macem jenisnya.

Therefore, cleansing sheets will always be a perfect option to a lazy girl like me.

Etude House Kissful Lip Care Concealer

Sorry for the long hiatus.. been very very busy lately (and honestly, I'm one of the worst procrastinator in the world).. but finally I'm back!

... for another review. This time I want to share my thoughts about Etude House Kissful Lip Care Concealer.

First thing first.. What is lip concealer...?

Lip concealer, hence the name, is concealer for the lips. Regular concealers are helpful in other areas of the face, but these products are generally not intended for use on your lips since your skin tone is different in that area. 

Lip concealer can be used for : 

• Help to minimize dark areas on and around your mouth, as well a s reduce redness associated with blemishes.
• Can be used as a primer for lipsticks. Applying lip concealers prior to lipstick can make the shade brighter and truer to the color shown on the product’s package. 
• Can help a lipstick color stay in place longer and avoid creasing or feathering.

These concealers come in a variety of styles, from traditional sticks to liquid versions. A solid lip concealer is similar in appearance and texture to a chapstick, and is less messy during use. At the same time, liquid concealers are often preferred if you only need to touch up a small area of the lips, as they sometimes come with a small applicator.

Hello again.

Hello!

Sorry for a month hiatus.. been super busy these days. Since I work at Indonesian Ministry of Finance, I must took Diklat Prajabatan, a kind of job training, with extra addition of military conscription (wajib militer) with Komando Pasukan Khusus (Kopassus) from Indonesian national army, for 3 weeks straight.

For that damn 3 weeks me and my friends must survive from hot weather, sun rays, inhuman extra large food portion.. and also push up, sit up, running, crawling, creeping and other military stuffs. PLUS, we must took Final Exam with 12 different subjects (like nationalism, team building, management, etc.) at the end of the training period.

I enjoyed that 3 weeks actually (minus the sunburn that I got), because I met new friends, and they're all awesome.
