3W CLINIC Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF 50+/PA+++

Protecting our skin against harmful UV rays is definitely a must. UV rays can make our skin age faster, apart from skin cancer, freckles, etc. There are no windows or clothes that can protect us against the UV. Even on cloudy days, apparently 40% of it can still reach us.
I always have a love hate relationship with sunblocks. They do wonders on your skin, but they also left some white cast. And I do not want to look like a ghost. Higher SPF sunblocks tend to left more visible white cast, so I avoided higher SPF and only used max SPF30 sunblocks. But I'm that type of person that too lazy to reapply sunblocks all the time. So, when I found 3W CLINIC Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF 50+/PA+++, I quickly purchased it without any further thinking.
Here's my review after using this sunblock for a month.

Note: 3W CLINIC is a Korean makeup brand and you might be unfamiliar with this brand since it's difficult to find outside Korea.

3W CLINIC Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF 50+/PA+++ comes in a silver squeeze tube which looks expensive. It has a neat nozzle with a good sized hole which dispenses just the right amount of product.

Description:
This soft cream type sunblock could be spread softly on face which then protects skin from sun and its moisturizing component provides water to the face keeping it moist. This SPF50+/PA+++ sunblock contains aloe extract which relives skin irritation, protecting it from skin troubles.

Ingredients:
Water, Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Titanium Oxides, 1,3 Butylene Glycol, 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Bees Wax, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Methylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrolyzed collagen, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Allantoin, Arbutin, Betaine, Perfume, Red Ginseng Extract.

3W CLINIC Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF 50+/PA+++ is a soft, non sticky, lightweight cream which easily spread on your skin. It has slightly soap scent and after blended, it does not leave any white cast at all. I also noticed that this sunblock makes my skin feels moisturized and more dewy.

Definitely a good product for daily use.

OVERALL OPINION
I've been used 3W CLINIC Intensive UV Sunblock Cream SPF 50+/PA+++ for a month and I absolutely fall in love with it. For IDR40.000 (about USD4) you already get such a great quality sunblock. The only thing I regret is not buying another tube.

5/5 OUTSTANDING
+ (Super) Affordable!
+ High SPF
+ Great texture: lightweight, non sticky, spread on easily
+ Moisturizing
+ No white cast

you may...
TAKE IT
if you want a great quality sunblock with high SPF
LEAVE IT
if you do not like to have any fuss ordering stuffs that difficult to find unless you're in Korea

Extras:
Here some extra information about sunblock/suncreen, hope you'll find this useful ;)
  1. You might think that if your sunblock has SPF30, your BB Cream has SPF25 and your powder has SPF15, then by sum it up, your face will be covered with SPF70 ( 30 + 25 + 15 = 70 ). Unfortunately, it does not work that way. Yes, SPF does not stack. It takes the highest SPF to work (which is SPF30 in this case).
  2. Higher SPF = better. A higher SPF filters out more UV rays and last longer. And, remember, there's no sunblock blocks 100% UV rays, they only filter the rays. Even a SPF50 only filters approx 98% of UV rays. Reapply every 3 hours, since sweat and humidity can 'swept away' your sunblock.
  3. Sunblocks also need to be absorbed into the skin to fully functioned, so we should apply sunblock approx 30 mins before we head out into the sun.

  1. thanks for the review.
It's a great sunblock I think, since it offers SPF 50 which is pretty high.
I'm currently using the one from L'occitane.
Where did you buy this btw?

    1. hi Quynh :) A friend of mine who has oily skin recently tried this because of my recommendation, and she said that she like this product so much. It doesn't give her any breakouts and doesn't feel greasy at all. So, I think this product is great for all skin types. :)

  7. Wow. This is like the cheapest price I encountered for a sunscreen product so far! I'll be sure to ask my cousin who're studying in Korea about its brand. Hehe if it works well, that's definitely awesome!
Thanks for letting me know about the product.

  9. does this sunblock protect skin from both of UV A and UV B? Considering the price is so cheap, it might only protects from UV A. Any comment?
